Latching relays are used in conjunction with air contactors especially in fusing low voltage three-phase electric motors against thermal overload and single-phase operation.

The relay consists of three separate thermal bimetallic trigger units, whose working strokes are transmitted to the trigger and pushbutton with the auxiliary contacts 1 / 1-2A-380V ~ in category AC11.
